Hera’s MDT – Day 15: Mundane Practices

Χαίρετε πάντες!

Today’s topic is what mundane practices can be done out of devotion to Hera. This’ll be a short post, I think.

First of all, I want to clarify that these are mundane practices. They are not sacred practices and do not of themselves constitute an offering to Hera. An offering is something given directly to a Deity. These will be things that are not done directly for Hera.

One thing I imagine can be done is to rule over one’s household in a just manner, that one strives to run one’s household well. Similarly, one can also be politically active to help ensure that one’s state, at whichever level of government, functions properly and justly and for the benefit of the community. Acquiring new skills to help with these objectives can also be done out of devotion to Hera, for example, learning how to do keep track of income and spendings and savings in a more efficient manner.

Another way to honour Hera, which I touched upon in a previous blog post, would be to volunteer at organisations that help out people escaping an abusive spouse, such as women’s shelters or men’s shelters. Donating resources could also be done to this effect.

And I can’t really think of anything more… a short post like I said.

Ἔρρωσο.
