Today, as per usual for this topic, I will be sharing the Orphic Hymn to Poseidon. This is because there is no instance that I am aware that I asked Poseidon for a specific thing, or that he helped me out – asked for or not. Thus, I can not properly discuss today’s topic and do my usual improvisation.
Similar to yesterday, I don’t have a time when I specifically petitioned Hephaistos for something and he refused to help me. So, as yesterday and by precedent with Hera’s Month of Devotional Thought, I will today share the Homeric Hymn to Hephaistos.
Today I should share with you a time Hephaistos has helped me. Problem is… there is no such occasion – that I am aware of. I have never worshipped him much beyond occasionally honouring him specifically, otherwise just including him when I make offerings “to All the Gods”. Therefore, like with Hera’s Month of Devotional Thought, I will share today the Orphic Hymn to Hephaistos today.
Today is a rather difficult topic. I am supposed to share a time when Hera has helped me, yet I never had much of a relationship with her in the past, or really requested anything specific when praying to her. So, I don’t have an occasion to tell about, when Hera helped me (that I know of, perhaps she helped me beyond me knowing it). So instead I’ll just share the Orphic Hymn to Hera today.
